NET Telcos Emerges This Spring as the Leader in Advanced Enterprise Solutions: More Data Center Space and New Virtualization Capabilities Define

RICHMOND, Va. (Business Wire EON) March 31, 2008 -- Scott Rodgers, General Manager at NET Telcos, says the past year has paved the way for continued growth in emerging areas of technology. "It has been an important differentiation point for us, to stay nimble and partner with people and organizations that can benefit our customers."

He said evidence of this success lies in the milestones NET Telcos has recently achieved. "We have partnerships with well-known and trusted organizations like VMware which put us in good company when we are at the drawing board designing a solution for a customer. Internally, we've also spent time improving and optimizing our data center's space and environmentals, as well as adding a number of new members to our staff. I believe those changes have been crucial to the success we've experienced over this past year. And now I'm glad to announce we have successfully completed the installation of our first virtualization environment with long-time customer, Biznet Internet Services."

Jeffrey Baker, President and IT Director at Biznet Internet Services, a Virginia-based provider of professional website design, development, and hosting to enterprises across the world, says that the implementation was relatively simple. "We decided we needed to make some changes to adjust to the growth of our company. And, after discussing a number of solutions with NET Telcos, they helped us pick the best fit which was virtualization. All told, it took three to five months and they were helpful throughout the entire process."

Rodgers was appointed General Manger of NET Telcos in August 2007 after Paul Diemer was promoted within its parent company, Continental Broadband. After coming on board, Rodgers appointed Director of Operations, Brian K. Westerlund, and Senior Sales Engineer, Mark Williams; both have helped shape the growth pattern currently being experienced at NET Telcos.

In addition to initializing this successful virtualization environment and being in the planning phase for several others, NET Telcos has implemented three new customers on this platform in just the last month.

In December, NET Telcos also opened within a Chesapeake facility which has more than 20,000 sq. ft. of available data center space. They are now installing colocation and managed service solutions to enterprise customers in the Hampton Roads market. The facility is ISO 9001 compliant, has a 24x365 NOC and a robust network and infrastructure supported by redundant power and cooling.

In addition to these managed services, NET Telcos now offers customers an al-a-carte menu of services supported by iPASS that offer a single point of contact for organizations with traveling IT managers and engineers with remote access needs, globally.

"This year, we really took a look at our service offerings and implemented what we consider to be service improvements that not only upgrade our available resources, but help our enterprise customers improve their businesses," said Rodgers. "I am looking forward to the activities we have in progress with other clients and am confident in our ability to maintain this level of growth throughout 2008."

Planning a backup and restoration of files for disaster recovery.
Planning a backup and restoration of files is the most important step to protect data from accidental loss in the event of data deletion or a hard disk failure. The backup copy can be used to restore lost or damaged data. For taking backups and restoring files, Microsoft has provided a utility called Backup. The Backup utility creates a copy of data on a hard disk of a computer and archives data on another storage media. Any storage media such as removable disks, tapes, and logical drives can be used as a backup storage.
